Area Attractions
While you’re here, visit some of our local area attractions…
The Shamrock Regional Park is located within the Rural Municipality of Shamrock #134.
Coderre – The Branded Tavern bar in Coderre is a 14 min drive from the park and offers great food and weekly specials.
Chaplin – While visiting the Shamrock Regional Park consider visiting the Town of Chaplin, and the Chaplin Shorebird Site, just a short 40 minute drive north of the Park.
Gravelbourg – To the south, experience “A Touch of Europe” in the Town of Gravelbourg. One of the main attractions in Gravelbourg is the Our Lady of Assumption Roman Catholic Co-Cathedral.
Moose Jaw – Another main attraction in the area, approximately 45 minute drive to the northeast, is the City of Moose Jaw that features the understreet Tunnels of Moose Jaw, the Temple Gardens Mineral Spa and many other attractions as listed on the Tourism Saskatchewan website.
Swift Current – The City of Swift Current is located along the TransCanada Highway an hour west of Shamrock Regional Park.
Watershed – Old Wives Lake, Chaplin and Shamrock Regional Park are all part of the Watershed that features excellent shorebird watching opportunities.
Activities and Facilities
Camping
There are 100 electrified sites many non electric sites and seasonal sites available. There is a cook shack for picnics or large group events. Picnic tables and fire rings are moveable to suit your needs.
Showers and laundry facilities are available for a fee.
Swimming Pool
Due to limited staffing availability, we regret to inform you that our pool will not be open for the 2025 season. We understand this may be disappointing and appreciate your understanding as we work to ensure the best possible experience at the park.
Boating & Fishing
Anyone can fish along the wood River as it provides 9 different fish species.
The Wood River circles the east, west and southern boundaries. It provides everyone with opportunities to catch fish and frogs. The native prairie golf course circles the park on the other side of the river. If you like a challenge, this will be a golf course you will enjoy.
Golfing
The park has a challenging, well maintained, 9-hole, sand green course that winds its way around the river. Be careful -- as you may lose your ball! Golf cart rental is now available. Please inquire at the Booth for more information.

Hiking & Biking
Trails along the river make walking and hiking very scenic and enjoyable. Many birds and wildlife can be seen along the way and you can stop to rest on the benches along the way.
Play Area
There is a play ground area beside the pool, the concession, the overflow area, and the ball diamonds.

Ball Diamonds
There are three ball diamonds in the park, with mesh backstops, benches for the players as well as bleachers for the spectators. A slo-pitch league runs from June to August.
Picknic Area
Our picknic area has a picknic table and charcoal BBQ.
